The Paris Cardiovascular Interventions Course is a major educational event dedicated to interventional cardiovascular therapies and atherothrombosis. This international meeting is organized in collaboration with the Interventional Cardiology Working Group (GACI) of the French Society of Cardiology. It aims to bring to all health professionals involved in interventional cardiology and its related specialities, a critical analysis as well as all the most RECENT and INNOVATIVE developments in this fi eld, from visionary and revolutionary concepts to PRACTICAL CLINICAL APPLICATIONS of the utmost pertinence, with particular emphasis on evidence based medicine.
The 11th annual edition will take place in Paris from October 14 to 16, 2009 and will follow in the path of previous editions. Attendees will be assured of concurrent sessions dealing with diverse areas such as preventive cardiology, clinical cardiology, interventional pharmacology, cardiovascular imaging, percutaneous coronary intervention, congenital and valvular heart disease, peripheral vascular intervention, cardiovascular surgery and emerging technologies.
The fi nal program will include the following sections:
  •  Main auditorium lectures from a national and internationa faculty of leading experts
  • Symposia sponsored by partners from the pharmaceutical and medical device industries
  • Live case demonstrations broadcasted from leading interventional cardiology centres
  • Joint sessions with other interventional cardiologist associations
  • Controversies on hot topics
  • Practical workshops
  • Original research selected for oral and poster presentations
  • Nurse and Technologist session
Target audience: the congress is intended for physicians, biologists, nurses, technologists, cath lab staff and other healthcare professionals with an interest in coronary and vascular intervention and imaging. To encourage exchange outside of sessions, a pharmaceutical and medical device industry exhibition will be in place.
Continuing Medical Education Accreditation: the Paris Cardiovascular Interventions Course is accredited by the French Society of Cardiology to provide continuing medical education for physicians for a maximum of 20 Credits. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
This year, so as two increase our recognition of research two Prizes will be awarded with the support of our partners: the best poster Award of 1000 € and the young investigator Award of 5000 €.
In order to enhance relationships with other cardiovascular professionals worldwide, there will be a SIMULTANEOUS ENGLISH TRANSLATION. We look forward to welcoming you to Paris, the convention and congress world capital!
